It Happened To Us
The Nick and Donna Nickerson Family
Bank Foreclosures
Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

Some of us are very concerned about recent bank foreclosures of property in our area. The "mortgage crisis" hasn't ended. One of our neighbors is being foreclosed on unfairly. In this case, they had numerous monthly payments refused by the bank because of "computer problems" and subsequently the bank employees that tried to help them got fired or disappeared from that position. Do you want to hear their story? It is on a website that they created: www.ItHappenedToUs.com.

I am very concerned about property rights here and everywhere. The only thing I can think of to help them is to write letters to our state representatives asking them to investigate this and other cases.

If you would like to join me in this plea for help, below are some names and addresses. You can ask them, as I am going to do for their help in investigating what has happened to the Nickerson family and others in our county with bank foreclosures. Are these families getting the help that the government has mandated that the banks provide? Or are they being fraudulently manipulated? You can write to our representatives and ask them if they would look into the Nickerson case.

Senator James E. Risch, 313 D Street, Suite 106, Lewiston, ID 83501.
Senator Mike Crapo, 313 D Street, Suite 105, Lewiston, ID 83501.
Congressman Raul Labrador, 313 D Street, Suite 107, Lewiston, ID 83501
Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter, P.O. Box 83720, Boise, ID 83720.

I am asking for your help.
Lorene Wright
Orofino, Idaho

Also, Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter has been replaced by Governor Brad Little. For an updated list please visit our Contact Officials page. 2020 is an election year. Please remember our story and consider whether those in office are the right ones to be in authority in Idaho when you cast your votes.
