We Are Fighting Back - Day 48

Make A Difference

Sunday, December 29, 2019

Today is Day 48. Did you know this is the last Sunday of 2019? In a few short days, none of us will ever have the opportunity to make a difference in 2019 again. How are you planning to spend today? Have you thought about it? Many people just live, exist, try to manage the minute they are experiencing. No plans. No vision. No purpose. When we first became a family over 30 years ago, we purposed and determined we would build a household of faith. We committed our lives and future family to loving and serving others. Over the years as our family grew, loving others for Him became our call and mission. We worked hard and made many sacrifices to be able to buy the Idaho Ranch so we could share it with others. We bought it as part of our self-funded family outreach ministry. Self-funded means we bought it and used our own hard-earned money to build and develop it into an amazing ranch. Because of our faith, our Idaho Ranch was attacked and we were told we had to sign it over or our entire financial portfolio would be attacked. We had not defaulted. We had not committed any action or inaction to warrant or justify losing anything so we made the choice to fight back rather than submit to persecution for our faith for the rest of our lives. We fought back because we wanted to make a difference for others who might not be able to fight. We believed it was the right thing to do, so we did it. Has it made a difference? We hope so, but there are still millions of people who have lost or are losing their homes to wrongful foreclosure across this nation. Christians are still being persecuted. Idaho is still granting summary judgments by denying due process and trial by jury. Now they are using the police powers of the State to raid homes, seize personal belongings, and destroy personal property for corporations nationally known for fraudulent lending practices and wrongful foreclosures. Maybe making a difference is just being principled enough to stand for what is right and not being willing to give up our God-given, Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms and liberties. Maybe it is just living out what we believe, continuing to build a household of faith, and loving and serving others. Today, tomorrow, or in the future we are believing the sacrifices we are making will make a difference. Do you know today is the first day of the rest of your life and how you live today will affect how you live tomorrow? How are you going to spend today? How are you going to make a difference?

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou annointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23
