We Are Fighting Back - Day 56

Let It Snow

Monday, January 6, 2020

Today is Day 56. We are told it is National Thank God It Is Monday Day. Well the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. And since there’s no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Did you know every single snowflake is unique and that no two snowflakes are the same? Yet, they are all joining together today, without any selfish motives, sinister agendas, or greedy schemes to make the most beautiful winter landscape any campsite could ask for. For the last 56 days, our little campfire on the hill has continued to burn, warmer at times, more brightly at others, but it has faithfully and consistently burned through rain, hail, sleet and snow. Today, our campfire crew is reporting it is burning just right. We are so very thankful for the kind-hearted patriot that cared enough on November 12th to light the one little spark that started this fire and for every patriot who has brought wood to keep it going ever since. We are content, grateful, and warming up in its glowing. Our update today is about telling all of you that are standing with us, whether near or afar, thank you. Thank you for our nice tables, tablecloths, comfy chairs, canopy, meals, drinks, desserts, holiday trimmings, firewood, fire ring, Dutch oven, tools, paper, pens, copies, folders, blankets, pillows, camp Bibles, lighted cross to proclaim Jesus Is Lord of this campsite, Christmas tree, sharing your hearts and homes with us, and for being an encouragement to us. Your kindness is helping keep our spirits warm and bringing happiness to our family and little campsite home while we are apart and away from our home. Thank you for showing your support by honking and waving as you drive by; stopping in to share hugs and campfire stories when time allows; and calling, emailing, and sending cards with words of encouragement and advice. All of you are helping make this difficult journey a little easier. Thank you.
