It Is Sad To Be An American

It Happened To Us Music Video 3 - It Is Sad To Be An American.

It is sad to be an American in a land that once was free. Our family once believed freedom and justice was for all in America. We believed it, taught it, sang about it, and rested in it. We prayed it would never change. We thought "all" included our family, the Nick and Donna Nickerson Family. Sadly, we have been told and learned we are wrong. For over a decade, big banks have targeted and persecuted us with complete impunity by all three branches of our government. Why did they attack us? Our faith and opposing worldviews. We understood religious freedom means the freedom to believe or not believe. We understood promoting freedom and justice for all was an American thing to do. However, many in power today do not agree. The attack waged on us and the wealth of our financial portfolio has made us realize we were born in a land that is no longer free, at least not for our family. How did or could this happen in America? Acute regulatory failure. Judicial tyranny. Systemic corruption. Crony capitalism. We are fighting back, but our rights have been violated and revoked one by one. Today, we are sad to be an American living in a land that once was free. Read our story of what has made us sad here on our website.

I pledged allegiance to the United States of America. I respected the Republic for which it stands. I believed in this one nation under God. I thought our country was indivisible. I trusted that liberty and justice were for all.

As I stand here all the things are gone

I've worked for all my life

And I have to start all over again

With just my children and my wife.

I've prayed to God above,

I would never

see this day,

Where the flag doesn't stand for freedom,

'Cause they just ripped mine away.

And it's sad to be an American

In a land that once was free.

As the guards of freedom looked away,

they stole it all from me.

Will nobody stand up, next to me, and defend our rights today?

All across this land I hear this cry,

Where is the USA?

From the judges to the sheriffs

From the judges to the sheriffs

From the judges to the sheriffs

From the judges to the sheriffs

They refused to set us free.

Across the aisles of Congress,

No one would stand for liberty.

We travelled far and wide for help

We made our way down to DC

What we heard broke our innocent hearts,

There's no freedom here for me.

And it's sad to be an American

In a land we thought was free.

And to know what might have been if men had stood for liberty.

One man could have changed it all and helped save our land this day

If only one would stand for right

To save the USA

And it's sad to be

an American

In a land that once was free.

When the guards of freedom looked away, all was lost to tyranny.

Will nobody stand up, against the wrong, and do what's right today?

All across this land, we sing and pray,

Will you stand for the USA?

God help the USA.

Oh may God save the USA.

"You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We can preserve for our children, this, the last best hope of man on Earth, or we can sentence this generation of young people to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we are destined to fail, if this way of ours is to be lost, then at least, let our children...

...and our children's children say of us that it didn't fail because we failed to try. Let them say that at least, we did all that could be done in the one moment allotted us here on earth."
