We Are Fighting Back - Day 53

It Is Time To Catch And Round Up The Predators

Friday, January 3, 2020

Today is Day 53. As we listened to the coyotes howling on the bench this morning, we were reminded of how PHH Mortgage Services, by and through all their names, have acted as predators toward us and other innocent homeowners. On this day in 2018, the Idaho Department of Finance (IDF) announced Idaho and financial regulators from 46 other states had entered a settlement agreement with PHH Mortgage Corp (PHH) to assist borrowers harmed by PHH during 2009 – 2012 as a result of severe operational deficiencies in mortgage servicing identified during a multistate examination. For those of you who are not familiar with the details of our case, these are the years we were being victimized by the very operational deficiencies cited in the settlement. We reached out to the IDF for help back then, but none was forthcoming. The IDF acknowledged PHH Mortgage Corp. was a problem and they knew it. However, instead of helping stop the abuse and protecting the integrity of Idaho financial markets, they sent us to the Idaho judicial system for relief. What we found was acute regulatory failure and systemic corruption have been granted judicial impunity in Idaho. Thus, we have suffered under judicial tyranny for years without help, aid, or any proactive departmental support. Press releases, feel good promises, publicity claims such as protecting the integrity of Idaho financial markets since 1905 may successfully create false illusions and effectively market fantasy holograms of financial security for some in Idaho. However, Idaho borrowers, beware! Those empty air illusions and bondage holograms may get popped by the end of one of the Idaho police state’s assault rifles when you find your home being raided and hold your destroyed treasures in your cold, wet freezing hands in a storage facility outside of the State of Idaho as we have.

In this same IDF press release, the Idaho Department of Finance “IDF” Director Gavin Gee orated the type of political promise that all head-in-the-sand patriots want to hear, “This settlement demonstrates a core responsibility of state regulators to protect consumers from unlawful business practices. With this settlement, we are saying that states will not tolerate mortgage servicers that harm consumers by failing to process mortgage payments according to the law. As part of this settlement, states are requiring corrective actions so that PHH’s future mortgage servicing activities ensure timely and accurate processing of loan payments.” Is this a statesman quote or what? Sadly, this is an or what? If you take a few minutes to read our story, you can find out how severe servicing deficiencies, like 47 states found PHH guilty of, can wreak havoc on a borrower who makes their payments, fulfills their financial obligations, and trusts states like Idaho to protect their financial interests. That is what we did and this is what has happened to us. Warning! It is not a story for the faint of heart. Frankly, when dealing with predators, feel good moments are generally held in reserve until the predator is caught and prevented from causing future damage. Such is the case with our story. Our family is loudly ringing the liberty bell for our American neighbors to help us catch the predators. It is time and we are ready for the coyotes to be rounded up by true American predator controllers so our homeland can once again be a safe place for life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness. We pray this ring for liberty from our little hillside will be heard around the world.
